It’s a sad fact of life that suffering impacts upon virtually every human being at some stage and in varying degrees. It’s also true that bad things happen to ‘good’ people and good things happen to ‘bad’ people. A disturbing feature of life today is that huge numbers of people are suffering poverty, starvation or persecution, or a combination of these. So many persecuted or economic migrants are on the move, risking everything in the hope of obtaining a better and safer life elsewhere.

Human suffering, whether one’s own or that of others, begs the questions, “Is God really a God of love?” and, “If God is all-powerful why doesn’t He prevent suffering?” The Bible does have an answer to these searching questions, and no more clearly so than by revealing the fundamental reasons for universal human sin-prone nature and inescapable mortality. The Bible also reveals the remedy for this, centred on the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, who was made perfect through suffering. He is alive now, and still has a momentous future role to fulfil.

We invite you to a free Bible presentation that will reveal and explain The Bible’s answer to suffering. This will be at 7.00pm on Sunday evening the 2nd of December. The venue is the Christadelphian Hall, 489 Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road, corner of Boyanda Street, opposite Ham Road, Wishart. That’s Sunday evening the 2nd of December at 7 o’clock.
