The world faces many apparently insoluble problems today – unsustainable population growth, climate change, increasing water and food shortages, economic and financial stress, increasing social unrest and violent lawlessness. Currently in the headlines are the escalating threats of religious extremism and Middle East turmoil combining to create widespread anxiety and fear. There is a solution to all of these problems, and God’s word, the Bible, tells us what is. The Bible tells us repeatedly that Christ will return to earth at a time of world crisis to establish God’s Kingdom. He will reign over the entire world and vanquish evil. As a result of his righteous government the world will emerge from unprecedented fear and perplexity to become a glorified and peaceful place.
