Many people are confused and indifferent about belief in God. In our secular society many have abandoned altogether the notion of a supreme, all-powerful God who commands our respect and obedience. A lot of ideas about God are based on the opinions and feelings of those who are at least prepared to acknowledge His existence. Such ideas are in reality no more than human thinking. Even scientists, who marvel at the evidence of design in the natural world with its intricacy and irreducible complexity that they acknowledge exists in nature and human and animal anatomy, are all too often reluctant to admit the existence of the Designer. The same can be said of the precision of the solar system and the undeniable uniqueness of planet earth to sustain human life as we know it. The evidence of the Designer God is conspicuous, but all too often not acknowledged. Belief in evolution requires as much, if not more, faith as belief in Divine creation.

This is very sad, because there’s a wealth of information in the Bible about God and His almighty power. What’s more, this information is clearly understandable and coherent. And because the Bible is God’s word – His revelation to man – it is the book of supreme authority. It tells us what God wants us to know about Himself. Both Old and New Testaments describe consistently His greatness, His goodness, His uniqueness and His eternity. They explain what God requires of us and describe His wonderful plan for the future of mankind and the world.

We invite you to a free Bible presentation that will explore this topic and is titled Creation or evolution – which is more believable? This will beat 7.00pm on Sunday evening the 30th of June. The venue is the Christadelphian Hall, 489 Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road, corner of Boyanda Street, opposite Ham Road, Wishart. That’s on Sunday evening the 30th of June at 7 o’clock.
